Other Supplies

  • Three (3) small cement planters
  • Paper towels
  • Container for water
  • Palette

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Refer to the Basic Stenciling Tips for information on using Martha Stewart Stencils.

Cement Planters

  1. Using stencil tape, mask off diagonal sections one each planter. Refer to project photo for placement if desired.
  2. Paint below the tape line using a medium pouncer. Paint each planter, Metallic Gold, Metallic Coper and Metallic Sterling as shown. If desired, a second application of paint can be applied. Let dry.
  3. When dry, stencil the chosen letter Wedding Cake using a small dauber. Place design in the center of the cement planter. While paint is still wet, carefully remove stencil. Let dry.

Clean Up

  1. Wash all stencils, brushes, and tools immediately after use before the paint dries.
  2. Cleaned stencils should be stored on the backer sheet for future use.
