Instructions

Preparation

  1. Refer to the Basic Stenciling Tips for information on using Martha Stewart Stencils.

Bon Voyage

  1. Diagonally place stencil tape across the journal as shown and press in place.
  2. Using Slate Gray and a medium pouncer, paint the cover to the right of the tape line. Let dry and apply second coat. Allow to dry and then remove tape.
  3. Stencil “Bon Voyage” Wild Blueberry using a small dauber. While paint is still wet, carefully remove stencil. Let dry.

Let’s Go

  1. Using Wedding Cake and a small dauber, stencil three travel icons to the bottom of a journal. While paint is still wet, carefully remove each stencil. Let dry.
  2. Stencil “Let’s Go” Wild Blueberry using a small dauber. While paint is still wet, carefully remove stencil then let dry.

Vehicle Icons

  1. Randomly repeat the taxi, scooter and bus icons on a journal cover as shown. The taxi is stenciled Yellow Jacket, the bus is Wedding Cake and the scooter is Slate Gray. While paint is still wet, carefully remove the stencil and allow to dry.

Clean Up

  1. Wash all stencils, brushes, and tools immediately after use before the paint dries.
  2. Cleaned stencils should be stored on the backer sheet for future use.
