Other Supplies

  • White backpack
  • Stencil tape
  • Poster board
  • Paper plate
  • Water basin

Instructions

  1. Lay backpack flat. Place a sheet of poster board inside to prevent paint from transferring to the backside.
  2. Remove stencils from sheet and stick on backpack.
  3. Squeeze a small amount of What it Dew paint on a paper plate. Dip the bottom of the heart paint sponge into the paint.
  4. Pounce gently over the open areas of the stencils. Be careful not to go over the edges of the stencil.
  5. For the repeating pattern, pick up stencil and re-position to continue the pattern. Stencil paint and repeat. Let dry.
  6. Remove stencils, clean and place back on stencil sheet.
  7. For the stripes, apply stencil tape along the sides of the backpack and on the front flap.
  8. Dip the heart paint sponge into the paint and pounce on the backpack to create a solid color between the tape lines. Carefully remove tape.
  9. Let dry completely.
  10. Heat set with an iron before washing.
