White t-shirt, White canvas sneakers, Poster board, Pencil, Palette, Water basin, Paper towels

Instructions

Halloween Spider Web T-Shirt

  1. Wash, dry and iron the t-shirt to prepare the surface for painting.
  2. Lay the shirt over the poster board and outline its shape, also indicating the neck opening.
  3. Cut a ½” inside the line all the way around the drawn shape.
  4. Draw a spider web on the prepared shape. Slide the spider web drawing inside the shirt and align. Use the pencil lines as the guides for your resist.
  5. Using a detail brush, paint over the spider web lines with the resist. Let dry completely.
  6. Squeeze a quarter-sized amount of Beetle Black on your palette. Dilute slightly with water to help it flow. Brush over the resist. Continue to brush the paint over the tee surface adding water in areas to create the watercolor effect.
  7. Let dry completely.
  8. Wash and tumble dry low.

Halloween Spider Web Canvas Sneakers

  1. Using a detail brush, paint a spider web design on the toe and the back heel of each sneaker with the resist. Let dry completely.
  2. Squeeze a quarter-sized amount of Beetle Black on your palette. Dilute slightly with water to help it flow. Brush over the resist. Continue to brush the paint over the canvas surface adding water in areas to create the watercolor effect.
  3. Let dry completely. Ready to wear!
