• Wedding signs downloadable art
• Basswood shaped plaques – approx. 9” x 12” and 9” x 7”
• FolkArt Pickling Wash - Hidden Oasis, 2 oz. #5830
• Transfer paper
• Craft knife
• Fine-grit sandpaper
• Stencil tape
• Pencil, Ballpoint pen
• Water basin, Paper towels, Palette

Instructions

1. Prepare the plaque surfaces by sanding smooth and wiping clean of dust.
2. Print out free downloadable art provided.
3. Arrange on plaques and tape in place with transfer paper underneath.
4. Trace floral designs onto the plaques using a ballpoint pen. Remove.
5. Transfer the heart images onto a Cut Your Own Stencil sheet using the transfer paper.
6. Cut out the hearts with a craft knife. Remove the hearts and set aside. You will use the open heart.
7. Place the heart stencils in place on each plaque. In pencil, write the letters “___ + ___” of the bride and groom on the large plaque. On the small heart, center and trace the letters “AND” using the mini stencil alphabet. Remove the open heart stencils and set aside.
8. At the bottom of the large plaque, center and trace the wedding date using the mini stencil alphabet in pencil.
9. Wood burning the floral designs, __ + __, AND, and the wedding date.
10. Paint plaques in Celadon. With paper towel, rub over the wood burn to remove the paint.
11. Let dry.
12. Replace the open heart stencils and stencil Gypsy Rose. With paper towel, rub over the wood burn to remove the paint. Let dry and remove the stencils.
13. Paint the flowers and leaves in Gypsy Rose and Hidden Oasis. Dab with a paper towel to remove excess paint.
14. Arrange the art images again on the plaques with transfer paper underneath. Trace the words “Mr.”, “Mrs.” and “Adventure” with a ballpoint pen.
15. Paint the words in Winter White. Let dry.
