Instructions
- Basecoat canvas with Wicker White. Allow to dry.
- Cut desired design elements from Rub-On Pattern sheet. Arrange elements on project surface dark side down and secure with tape.Using flat end of Rub-On Tool, rub along pattern lines using gentle pressure to transfer pattern onto project surface. If desired, transfer only main pattern lines. Paint basic design shapes and when dry, transfer detail lines.
- Load 3/4” Flat Brush with Wicker White; paint canvas. Allow to dry.
- Queen Anne’s Lace:
Load #1 Liner with Hauser Green Medium; paint stems. Load #8 Round with same color; paint leaves. Load #1 Liner with Yellow Ochre; highlight right side of flower stem. Add a few tall grass.Using same brush and color, paint dots at flower head. Paint Wicker White dots to highlight.
- Bleeding Heart:
Load #1 Liner with Burnt Sienna; paint twig-like wiggle stems. Load same brush with Hauser Green Medium; paint leaf stems. Using same color and #8 Round, paint leaves. Paint flower head Pink using #10 Flat. Using same brush, reapply Pink and add Magenta to outer edges. Use Blending Tool to shade. Load #1 Liner with both Wicker White and a touch of True Blue. Paint highlight stroke on flower; add three stamens.
- Daisy:
Load #10 Flat with Hauser Green Medium; paint leaf. Paint daisy stem using #1 Liner and same color. Highlight one half of leaf with Yellow Citron using the #10 Flat. Load #8 Round with Medium Yellow; paint flower petals. Paint daisy center Burnt Sienna using #10 Flat.
Load #1 Liner with Yellow Ochre; paint detail lines in each petal beginning at the base and flowing towards the tip. Paint highlights on top half of daisy using #8 Round loaded with Wicker White. Paint a vein in the leaf using #1 Liner and Burnt Sienna. Add Burnt Sienna dots around flower center. Highlight top right of flower center with Yellow Ochre and paint Magenta dots on the lower left center.
- Stalk Flower
Load #1 Liner with Hauser Green Medium; paint flower stems.
Highlight stems with Yellow Citron using #1 Liner. Load #10 Flat with Pink; paint top half of flower head. Paint bottom half with Magenta. Load #8 Round with Wicker White. Paint small “touch-pull-lift” strokes in the shape of a cross on wet Pink and Magenta base. Reload brush for “whiter” flowers. Add Medium Yellow center dots using #1 Liner.
- Four Petal Blossom
Load #1 Liner with thinned Hauser Green Medium. Paint flower stems and short line strokes to create airy leaves. Paint flower petals Wicker White using #10 Flat.
Repaint petals Wicker White and add True Blue to edges; use Blending Tool to shade.
Paint center Medium Yellow using #10 Flat. Load #1 Liner with thinned True Blue. Paint detail linework from center painting towards tip. Add tiny dots at the stamen tips.
- Butterflies
Load #8 Round with Pink. Paint wings.
Paint Wicker White highlight on forward top wing using same brush.
Load #1 Liner with thinned Burnt Sienna; paint butterfly body, head and antennae. Try other color combinations.
