Stemless Glasses Instructions

  1. Thoroughly clean each glass before painting.  Once dry, wipe with a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol.  Allow to dry.
  2. Begin by painting a band of Black along the base of the glass.  The width of the band can be your choice. Allow to dry.  Add sceond coat if necessary.  Let dry.
  3. Paint a second band of color around the glassware in desired width.  This second band is painted Atlantis and sits just about 1/4" above the Black band of color. Please note: paint no closer to the rim than 1”
  4. Using a No. 1 Liner brush loaded with White, paint White accent marks in random pattern on the Black band.  Allow to dry.
  5. Follow manufacturer’s recommended instructions for baking-to-cure the paint on the glass.  Instructions can be found on plaidonline.com.

Related FAQs

There are two types of curing methods that can be used with Apple Barrel Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint: baking and air drying. NOTE: Please use the bake method for items you intend to wash in the top rack of your dishwasher.

Bake Method:
  1. Allow painted item to dry for 24 hours to be sure all layers of paint have dried.
  2. Place project in a cool oven, as the glass must heat gradually with the oven to avoid breakage; do not place glass in a hot oven.
  3. Set oven temperature to 350ºF.
  4. Once temperature has reached 350ºF, allow the project to bake for 30 minutes.
  5. After 30 minutes, turn the oven off and let glass cool down completely before removing from the oven.
  6. Do not use for 72 hours.
Air Dry Method: Paint is cured to the surface after 21 days; however, the air-dried projects are NOT suitable for use in the top rack of your dishwasher.
