Medium Grit Sandpaper

Basecoat furniture with Crystal, let dry.
Sand lightly removing some of the paint and showing the original color on furniture and creating distressed finish.
To create a distressed antique finish use Antique Wax. Follow basic instructions on wax.
Tip- when using the dark wax either add water to create a softer color or mix equal parts clear wax with Antique wax. Let wax dray and buff with dry cotton cloth.

Can Waverly Inspirations Chalk colors be mixed to create new colors or different values of the same color?

Yes, you can create custom colors by mixing any number of the Waverly Inspirations Chalk paints together.

Start with the lightest color, adding in darker shades until desired color is achieved.

Do I need to prep my surface before applying Waverly Inspirations Chalk?

The benefit of painting with Waverly Inspirations Chalk is that no prep work such as sanding, stripping or priming is needed.

When painting on previously used furniture, simply clean the surface using a glass cleaner to remove dirt or dust particles. When painting on glass surfaces, make sure to clean surface using rubbing alcohol.

Do I shake or stir Waverly Inspirations Chalk before using?

Stir well to incorporate the paint. Use straight from the bottle or pour a small amount onto a palette.
