3 round paper Mache boxes – 3” x 3”; 1.5” x 3”; 1.5” x 2.5”, 3 pieces of coordinating fabric (smaller prints work better), Wood cap – 1” x ¾”, Wood wheel – 1”, Dowel cap – 1”, Wood candlestick – 1 7/8” x 1 ¾”, Paintbrushes – 1” Liner, ¼” – ½” Flat, Glue, Transfer paper, Plastic wrap or foil, Wire, Wire cutter, Scissors
Instructions
1. Fold fabric pieces in half, wrong sides together and apply Stiffy to all sides of fabric. Let dry.
2. Transfer butterfly patterns to stiffened fabric and cut out. Fold shapes in half. (weight them if necessary)
3. Paint all box lids Coffee Bean. Apply Crackle Medium referring to bottle instructions. Paint Wicker White to crackle.
4. Paint box bottoms in remaining colors. Apply glitter paint when dry.
5. Referring to photo, paint wood pieces as shown. Apply glitter. 6. Glue wood pieces to bottom of boxes. Glue butterflies to lids. 7. Bend and twist lengths of wire to create antennae. Glue to lids to finish.
