instructions

  1. Start by painting your seven toilet paper rolls with White and let dry.
  2. Start painting simple shapes on your rolls like triangles, circles, and ovals with Apple Barrel Paint. See project photo for reference.
  3. Add details to your shapes so that they start to resemble various fruits and vegetables like plantains, tomatoes, and coffee beans. These crops are all native to different countries in Africa. Let the paint dry. See project photo for reference.
  4. Soak your pieces of felt in Mod Podge Stiffy. Bend the pieces of felt so that there are folds and ripples. Allow the Stiffy to dry and harden.
  5. Cut the felt into flame shapes. Paint details on the felt and let dry.
  6. Glue the flames to the inside of the rolls.
