For Blue Bird: Three 1" x 2" Hearts, Hen Egg, Two 1" x 1/8" Hearts, Three 3/4" x 1/8" Hearts, For Bumble Bee: Two 1-3/4" x 1/8" Hearts, 1-1/2" Doll Head, Two 1/2" Micro Apples, Hen Egg, 6" of 19 Gauge wire, For Frog: Hen Egg, 1" Round Head Plug, Two Split Pigeon Eggs, Two 1-1/8" x 1-3/8" Primitive Stars, Other Supplies: Extra Fine Black Marker, #2 Round Brush, #4 Flat Brush, Liner Brush
Instructions
Blue Bird
- Body: Basecoat Blue Jay. Let dry.
- Paint belly White and shade edges with Lisa Pink. Let dry.
- Outline belly with stitchlines and add eyes using black pen.
- Feet & Beak: Basecoat three 3/4" hearts Antique Gold. Let dry.
- Shade edges with Burnt Sienna.
- Paint Burnt Sienna comma strokes on nose for nostrils.
- Outline edges with stitchlines and add toenails using black pen.
- Wings & Tail: Basecoat 3 primitive hearts and 1" hearts Blueberry.
- Create wing feather outlines using White highlights.
- Highlight tip of tail using White and Lisa Pink.
- Outline wings with stitchlines using black pen. When dry, glue all three primitive hearts together creating tail.
- Assembly: Glue pieces onto surface referring to photo for placement. Let dry.
Bumble Bee
- Body: Basecoat Yellow. Let dry.
- Paint Black stripes. Let dry.
- Outline yellow stripes with stitchlines using black pen.
- Wings: Basecoat White. Let dry.
- Shade with Quaker Grey.
- Head: Add White dots for eyes. Let dry.
- Add Black dot to each eye.
- Outline wings with stitchlines using black pen.
- Antenna: Basecoat doll head and micro apples Black. Let dry.
- Bend wire around black pen creating spiral. Gently bend into a ‘U'.
- Glue micro apples onto ends of wire.
- Glue bottom of ‘U' onto back of head.
- Assembly: Glue pieces onto surface referring to photo for placement. Let dry.
Freddie Frog
- Basecoat all wood parts Leaf Green. Let dry.
- Feet: Shade edges of primitive stars with Hunter Green.
- Legs: Paint spots of Green Tea onto split pigeon eggs and shade with Hunter Green.
- Body: Paint tummy Green Tea.
- Shade tummy Hunter Green. Let dry.
- Outline tummy with stitchlines and add mouth using black pen.
- Paint tongue Napthol Red Light.
- Paint eyes White and shade with Leaf Green. Let dry.
- Paint pupils Black. Let dry.
- Add White highlight to each eye.
- Assembly: Glue pieces onto surface referring to photo for placement. Let dry.
