Other Supplies

  • Plastic Hubcaps 
  • ​4 foam pool noodles Allens Rapid Dry Glue 
  • 1” Flat brush 
  • Painters tape 
  • Large and small thin round wood piece for body and head 
  • Hot Glue 
  • Exacto blade 
  • Black twist ties 

instructions

  1. Basecoat wood round pieces with black and let dry. 
  2. ​Following steps in video attached create plaid pattern for spiders body and head. Let dry.
  3. Cut foam noodles to desired length. Cut out a section on ½ of noodle as shown in video to create bend. Glue with hot glue to create joint. 
  4. Repeat on all legs. Also cut end of legs into a point.
  5. Insert noodle legs into sections on hubcap as shown and secure with glue if needed. 
  6. Paint legs and hubcap body black. Let dry. 
  7. Drill 2 holes in large wood round and secure to hubcap with black twist tie as shown. Glue smaller wood piece to center as shown.  Let dry. 
  8. Paint eyes and let dry. 
  9. Attach a final twist tie to back of spider hubcap to hang. 
  10. Stack pots to desired height. Glue pots together with hot glue.
