Coordinating scrapbooking paper, Embellishments & adhesive border, 1” flat paintbrush, Liner brush, Craft glue, Craft knife and mat, Pencil, Ruler
Instructions
Birdhouse:
- Basecoat the roof Sunny Yellow and the base Ticked Pink. Paint the perches Sunny Yellow.
- Using the ruler, carefully measure the sides of the birdhouse and then cut scrapbooking paper to fit accordingly. It is okay if the paper overlaps slightly; you can trim later using the craft knife. Choose two coordinating papers – one for the roof and one for all three sides (except for the front) of the birdhouse.
- Use the Mod Podge Gloss to adhere the papers to the birdhouse and allow to dry. Apply at least two additional coats of the Mod Podge.
- At this time, trim any additional paper off of the sides using the craft knife.
- Glue embellishments onto the front of the birdhouse using the craft glue. Suggestions are shown in the photo.
Small Chest:
- Basecoat the drawers Hot Pink and the rest of the chest Yellow Citron. Paint the drawer handles using the liner brush and Pure Orange. Allow to dry.
- Using the ruler, carefully measure the sides of the chest and then cut scrapbooking paper to fit accordingly. I left ½” on each side so that the paint would be visible.
- Use the Mod Podge Sparkle to adhere the papers to the chest; and allow to dry.
- Add Sky Blue dots to the front of the drawers with the handle of the flat paint brush and allow to dry. Apply at least two additional coats of the Mod Podge.
- Glue embellishments onto the front of the chest using the craft glue. Suggestions are shown in the photo.
