FolkArt ® Extreme Glitter™ - Emerald, 2 oz. #2794, Glass Star Ornaments – blank: clean and dry, Lined paper, T-Pin
Instructions
For ornaments with lines and dots: Position star on top of lined paper making sure the line is under the top point and vertically straight.
For dots: Using the small brush handle, dip into the Extreme Glitter color of your choice and touch along the center line to make a vertical row of dots. Hint: re-dip brush handle for EACH dot to make consistent size dots.
For lines: Dip the small brush handle into the Extreme Glitter of your choice and pull glitter paint along line. Re-load and apply more paint until you have completed the line. Pull the brush handle through the paint again to make line even and smooth.
For ornament with swirls: Dip small brush handle into Extreme Glitter color of your choice. Touch on star surface to make dot, then pull paint into swirl around dot. Make swirl tails go different directions and vary sizes for interest.
For ornament with Holly and Berries:
- Dip small brush handle into Emerald Extreme Glitter and draw lines coming in from each point about 1” long. Add 2 green crossbars on each. Use T-pin to pull paint outwards into sharp points of Holly leaves and to define their shapes. Repeat for cluster of Holly leaves in center.
- Dip small brush handle into Red Extreme Glitter and dot berries as shown. Barely touch surface for smaller berries.
For ornaments with glittered background: Let the design completely dry from steps above. Use the flat brush to paint your color choice of Extreme Glitter paint on other side of ornament, OR over top of the colors that are dry. Let project dry and recoat background color if more opacity is desired. One coat gives a beautiful translucent shimmer.
Care of finished ornament: Wipe off with damp cloth if necessary. Never soak in water.
