Other Supplies

  • Wooden frame
  • Plaid shirt
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • 3″ wooden letters
  • 1″ wood block
  • Paper towels
  • Hot glue

Instructions

  1. Use your 1″ flat brush to paint your frame in Yellow Ochre. Let dry.
  2. Dip one side of your wooden block in Taffy. Wipe the excess paint on a paper towel. Drag the block along the edges of your frame. This will create a distressed effect. Let dry.
  3. Use your ½″ brush to paint your wooden letters with Taffy. Let dry. Now dip one side of your wooden block in Peppercorn. Wipe the excess paint on a paper towel. Drag the block along the edges of your wooden letters. Let dry.
  4. Cut your plaid shirt to the measurements of your frame’s backing board. Leave 1″ of excess fabric on all of the sides.
  5. Use Mod Podge to decoupage the fabric to the backing board. Let dry.
  6. Hot glue your wooden letters to the backing board.
