Other Supplies
9”x6” piece of wood, Candle, Sandpaper, ¾” wood screw, Halloween silhouettes, 1” flat brush, Hose clamp, Wide mouth jar
Instructions
-
Basecoat the wood with Yellow Citron. When the paint is dry rub the candle in areas where you want the wood to look distressed.
-
Paint the wood with Pure Black. When the paint is dry lightly sand the wood so that the Yellow Citron will show through
-
Squirt the Sheer Orange inside the jar and roll it around until the inside of the jar is covered.
-
Add a small amount of Sheer Red 2” from the top of the jar on the inside and roll it around so that the orange and red slightly mix. Turn the jar upside down on a piece of plastic wrap and allow the excess paint to drip out and dry.
-
Cut the Halloween silhouettes out and once the jar is dry apply to the outside with Mod Podge. Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge over the silhouettes.
-
Attach the hose clamp to the wood with a screw and insert the jar. Tighten the clamp to keep the jar secure.
