Mod Podge ® Podgeable Glitters, Wood heart plaque, Adhesive letters with adhesive tops – spelling “I Love You”, Tissue paper – White, Red & white paper straws, Scissors, Paintbrush, Hot glue gun
Instructions
-
Paint the heart plaque using Apple Barrel in White. Let dry.
-
Cut the tissue paper into several squares. I cut about 30 – 40 squares.
-
Use the Pink Sheer Colors to Mod Podge the tissue paper to the heart plaque. Add Mod Podge to the plaque, place the squares down on top and Mod Podge over the top. Repeat and keep overlapping until the enter plaque is covered. Let dry.
-
Paint another layer of Sheer Colors over the top and let dry.
-
Add the adhesive letters to the top of the plaque and peel off the tops. Add the Mod Podge silver glitter and brush away the excess with a dry paintbrush.
-
Let an adult hot glue gun the paper straws to the back to complete the wreath. I started at the top and continued to glue around the entire plaque until I had filled the edges. Tip: Lay your straws out before gluing down so that you can make sure they are evenly spaced.
-
Let dry for 24 hours before hanging. You can hang with command strips, add a ribbon to the back or use another removable adhesive.
