Saint Patty’s Day Pot of Gold

Other Supplies

• Clay pot
• Gold glitter
• Rock salt
• Styrofoam ball the same size as the clay pot rim opening
• Craft stick
• Hot glue
• Wax paper
• Paper bowl

Instructions

1. Basecoat pot Black.
2. Make 3 Parakeet fingerprints in a cluster to form a clover on the black clay pot. Use the liner brush to make the stem.
3. Tape off ¾” stripes and paint in the order of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple on the wooden circle plaque.
4. Squeeze the Styrofoam ball into the pot making sure it leave a mound above the rim of the clay pot.
5. Mix 5 parts rock salt, 1 part Mod Podge and 1 part glitter into the bowl and stir with the craft stick.
6. Place the mixture on to the wax paper and flatten it out. Allow to dry overnight.
7. Glue the pot to the rainbow plaque.
8. Begin applying the rock salt glitter to the top of the Styrofoam with the hot glue gun.
9. Continue applying the rock salt glitter down the side and onto the plaque as shown in photo.
