Boxcutter/Razor
Cutting Mat
Old or thrifted books
Strong Hold Glue
Ruler
Pencil
Gloves (for protection, if needed)

Using a pencil and a ruler, measure out the sections of the books you want to cut out. Mark them with a pencil.
Begin cutting the books with the razor blade along the lines. Please be careful to watch your fingers. You do not have to use too much pressure for the paper to cut. For those who have access to a band saw, you may want to use that for cutting to save time.
Make sure you do not cut two sides of certain books for there to be edges to have this project lean on.
Paint all of your book spines with Waverly Inspirations paints, or any desired color.
Using a hot glue gun, glue all book together with the longer ends on either side.
Let dry. Then for extra support you can glue a piece of small cardboard or wood if you desire.
Cover up any electronics or boxes on a shelf of your home!

Can Waverly Inspirations Chalk colors be mixed to create new colors or different values of the same color?

Yes, you can create custom colors by mixing any number of the Waverly Inspirations Chalk paints together.

Start with the lightest color, adding in darker shades until desired color is achieved.

Do I need to prep my surface before applying Waverly Inspirations Chalk?

The benefit of painting with Waverly Inspirations Chalk is that no prep work such as sanding, stripping or priming is needed.

When painting on previously used furniture, simply clean the surface using a glass cleaner to remove dirt or dust particles. When painting on glass surfaces, make sure to clean surface using rubbing alcohol.

Do I shake or stir Waverly Inspirations Chalk before using?

Stir well to incorporate the paint. Use straight from the bottle or pour a small amount onto a palette.
