Other Supplies

10” glass plate, Two 8” glass plates, One 6” and two 5” round paper doilies, 1 sheet 8.5” x 11” Bright pink paper, 12” x 12” Tiny polka dot white on black paper, Valentine themed gift tissue sheet, Small scissors, 3 7/8” circle template, 1” flat brush

Instructions

  1. Trace 3 ¼” letter shapes onto back of black dot scrapbook paper, remembering to reverse letters. Note: We traced around chipboard letters, but letter patterns could be printed off computer. Cut out letter shapes.
  2. Use brush to apply Mod Podge to center circular area on back of large plate; attach letter for last name with right side of paper facing plate; let dry. Repeat to attach letters to two smaller plates.
  3. Cut three 3 7/8” circles from pink paper. Use Mod Podge to attach paper circle, centered over letter and central circles of plates. Let dry.
  4. Use Mod Podge to attach large doily to back of large plate, centered over pink circle. Let dry. Repeat with small doilies on small plates.
  5. Cut three pieces of gift tissue, each at least 2” larger than the plate it will be attached to. Apply Mod Podge over back of plate. Lay piece of gift tissue over back of plate, smoothing as flat as possible on plate surface, and removing any air bubbles. Let dry.
  6. Use scissors to trim excess paper to plate edge.
  7. Apply coat of Mod Podge over gift tissue on back of plate; let dry.
