How to Use: Apple Barrel Gloss

Apple Barrel Gloss is waterbase and non-toxic, has a smooth gloss finish and is weather resistant. It is for use on most porous and non-porous surfaces including tin, wood, terra cotta, unglazed ceramics and glass. Apple Barrel Gloss is great for indoor and outdoor projects and is self-sealing.

Surface Prep:

For tin and glass, clean with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry.
For wood, lightly sand surface, and wipe with a clean dry cloth.
For terra cotta, wipe with a clean dry cloth.
For canvas and paper maché, basecoat if desired.

Directions:

Shake well. Apply to surface using a craft paint brush or sponge brush. Apply the first coat and allow to dry for 1 hour. Lightly sand the surface and wipe off any residue with a dry cloth. Apply additional coats until desired coverage is achieved, making sure to allow 1 hour between coats. Allow 24 hours for paint to cure before placing outside.

If desired, apply varnish to project after paint has cured.

Clean up:

Clean brushes and tools while wet with soap and water.

How to Use: Apple Barrel Multi-Surface

Apple Barrel Multi-Surface is waterbase, non-toxic, has a smooth satin finish and is top-shelf dishwasher safe when cured. It is for use on most porous and non-porous surfaces including glass, tin, wood, terra cotta, paper maché and glazed and unglazed ceramics. Apple Barrel Multi-Surface is weather resistant, great for indoor and outdoor projects and is self-sealing.

Surface Prep:

For new tin and glass and glazed ceramics, clean with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry.
For wood, lightly sand surface, and wipe with a clean dry cloth.
For terra cotta and unglazed ceramics, wipe with a clean dry cloth.

Directions:

Shake well. Apply to surface using a craft paint brush or sponge brush. Apply the first coat and allow to dry for one hour. Lightly sand the surface and wipe off any residue with a dry cloth. Apply additional coats until desired coverage is achieved, making sure to allow one hour between coats. For Glass: Bake to Cure: Air dry 1 hour. Place in cool oven, heat to 350°F. Bake for 30 minutes, cool in oven. Remove.

Clean up:

Clean brushes and tools while wet with soap and water.

How to Use: Apple Barrel Pouring Medium

Apple Barrel Pouring Medium turns acrylic paint into a pourable paint for fluid art projects. It dries to a satin finish, is waterbase and non-toxic.

Surface Prep:

Wipe surface clean and dry.

Directions:

Shake or stir well. Mix equal amounts of pouring medium and paint together in a container, stirring gently until completely mixed.

Pour colors directly onto surface in a random fashion. Tilt surface in all directions, allowing the paint to flow and cover the surface completely.

For a dirty pour, pour 1 color into a cup. Add another color to the cup, then another, layering the colors into the cup. Stir the paints once, then pour onto surface. Tilt surface to allow the paint to flow and create a unique pattern.

Allow to dry 24-48 hours depending on the thickness of the paint on the surface. Once dry, apply varnish.

Clean brushes and tools while wet with soap and water.
