FolkArt Multi-Surface Acrylic Paint FAQ

Yes, the fabric painted mixture (1 part FolkArt Textile Medium – 2 parts FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint), can be thinned with water to create detail linework. It can also be “spritzed” onto fabric using a clean pump spray bottle.
Yes, it is UV and weather resistant and can be used both indoors on curtains, glassware and wood as well as outdoors on terra cotta and garden signs.
Yes, painted glassware can be safely washed by hand and are top shelf dishwasher safe without chipping, cracking or fading. Do not soak in water.
Yes, for best results, it is recommended to use the waterbase FolkArt Textile Medium with FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint when painting on fabric.
Shake medium well, mix 1 part medium to 2 parts paint. Can be applied through stencil or hand painted. Clean up while wet with soap and water.
It is recommended that you allow 24 hours for your decorated fabric project to air dry; then heat set. Two heat setting methods are recommended:
Dryer Method: Turn garment inside out; place item in dryer for 30 minutes on highest setting allowed for the type of fabric used.

Iron Method: Place decorated item right side up on ironing board; cover with dry pressing cloth. Set iron to highest setting allowed for fabric used. Place dry iron (no steam) on area pressing for 30 seconds, lift iron moving to another area until all sections are heat set. Keep the iron moving in a small circular motion when heat setting.
