Celebrate National Mod Podge Day

In 1967, Jan Wetstone created Mod Podge in her garage as an easy-to-use decoupage solution for crafting enthusiasts. Since then, the brand has gone beyond just decoupage with 17 different formulas that include Matte, Gloss, Dishwasher safe, and Sparkle as well as top coats for Brushstrokes and Chalkboard. The introduction of the Mod Melter made embellishing your craft projects a breeze, along with the endless creative options found in Dimensional Magic, Photo Transfer Medium, and Collage Clay.

On Friday, May 19th, we’re celebrating Mod Podge’s 50th anniversary with National Mod Podge Day! The full day of festivities will include live streams straight from Plaid, Mod Podge experts, Cathie & Steve, and some of our Plaid Creators. Each live stream will show you a craft you can try on your own to help commemorate the occasion! (See the event schedule below.)

On National Mod Podge Day we will be giving away a BIG Mod Podge Prize pack! The prize is valued around $250 in Mod Podge and Plaid products. Just post your Mod Podge craft on Facebook (at this post) or on Instagram with hash tag #nationalmodpodgeday to enter to win! A winner will be chosen during the Plaid livestream at 2 PM on May 19th. Don’t worry if you are a new Mod Podge crafter; you don’t have to Mod Podge your VW Beatle to be eligible! We want all crafters to join in on the fun on National Mod Podge Day. Also click on the picture below to be taken to the contest post!

Look for other surprises throughout the day as each Plaid Creator live stream will be giving away a $50 Mod Podge prize pack! Stay tuned live to win during the live streams and interact with our Plaid Creators for a chance to win! Also, Cathie & Steve will be giving away a Michael’s Gift Card during their stream!
