- Apple Barrel Muti-Surface Acrylic Paints are created with a sealer built in the paint formula, there is no need to add a sealer or varnish to the painted surface. However, when desired, an added varnish can be applied to seal and protect. NOTE: the addition of a varnish may change the sheen from satin to whatever sheen the varnish is.

- Glassware Cure Instructions
- Apple Barrel Multi-Surface Acrylics painted glassware should be baked-to-cure the paint to the surface. Allow painted item to dry for 1 hour to be sure all layers of paint have thoroughly dried.Place project in a cool oven. Set oven temperature to 350ºF. Once oven temperature has reached 350ºF, begin timer for 30 minutes. After baking glassware for 30 minutes, turn the oven off. DO NOT open oven door. (Allow painted glassware to heat up and cool down along with the oven itself. It must heat and cool gradually to prevent breakage.) Once removed from the oven, glassware should not be used or washed for 72 hours.
- Cured glassware can be washed by hand or on the top rack of the dishwasher. DO NOT SOAK in water. DO NOT use in a microwave and never re-bake in an oven, (ex.: painted casserole or baking dish.)
- Although Apple Barrel Multi-Surface Acrylics are non-toxic, the painted design should never come in contact directly with food. When painting on drinkware, leave 3/4” or 2cm from the lip edge. When painting on a plate, only paint on the rim of the plate or paint in reverse on the backside of the plate.
- Fabric Cure Instructions
- Fabrics such as denims, cottons, poly/cotton blends, woven blends and home décor textiles can be painted using Apple Barrel Multi-Surface Acrylics. Best practice is to paint on a firm work surface that is protected with wax covered cardboard. When painting, use brush pressure to press the paint into the weave of the fabric, this will increase the paint adhesive properties.
- All fabric painted designs should be heat set to become permanent. Allow painted garment to thoroughly dry 24 hours. Place decorated item right side up on an ironing board; cover with a dry pressing cloth. Set the iron to the highest setting for the fabric used. Place dry iron (no steam) on area pressing for 30 seconds, lift iron moving to another area until all sections are heat set.
- Handmade equals hand wash always. However, if washing in a machine, turn the painted garment inside out, use cold water and mild detergent on the gentle cycle.
