Other Things You'll Need

  • Ashland™ glass milk bottles
  • Sandpaper
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Flat brush ½"
  • Paper towels
  • Water basin
  • Foam plates

Instructions

  1. Wash milk bottles with mild soap and water. Dry and wipe with rubbing alcohol to remove any leftover residue. 
  2. Apply chalk paint colors to bottles with flat brush. Let dry thoroughly before applying additional coats. Let dry. 
  3. Lightly sand surface of bottles to reveal as much of the glass as desired for distressed look. 
  4. Wipe chalk dust away with paper towel. 
Project Tip: For a more patriotic look, paint stripes on bottles with same colors.
