Use leftover wood to make a forest of trees for your holiday decor! Create fun evergreen trees from wood of different heights and types to make your trees unique.
Instructions
- Basecoat the three blocks with Castle, Sheepskin and White Adirondack. Allow to dry.
- Tranfer the pattern to blocks. Resize tree to fit each block.
- Paint the trunk of the tree starting at the top of the tree all the way to the bottom of the block with Java.
- Dip only the end of the 3/4" flat brush into Rich Black. Begin pouncing the black at an angle down the tree trunk to begin forming branches leaving space in between.
- Mix a small amount of Rich Black into the Irish to make a darker green. Repeat step 4 with green.
- Repeat step 4 with just Irish.
- Add White Adirondack where snow might land on the tree branches.
- Pour some Rich Black to a plate. Dip the flat side of layering block into paint and then remove any excess onto a paper towel. Lightly glide the block along the block and the edges of the block to achieve distressed look. Don't be too heavy handed. It only takes a little to get the effect.
