  • Plywood
  • Wooden oval plaque
  • Saw
  • Wood glue
  • Ruler
  • 4" Paper mache star
  • Small, multi-color pom-poms
  • Paper towels, Water basin

Instructions

Christmas Tree Advent Calendar

  1. Using a saw, cut out a Christmas tree shape from wood.
  2. With a pencil and a ruler, evenly space out tiny dots on your tree so that the holes will look even. There should be 24 spots.
  3. Using a drill, make holes where the pencil marks are located.
  4. Using a flat brush, basecoat the tree with True Green. Let dry.
  5. Using the Brush Script stencil pack, and a ½” stencil brush, stencil numbers ranging from 1-24 above each hole in white.
  6. Using a flat brush, basecoat the oval plaque with Acapulco. Let dry.
  7. Use wood glue to adhere the tree shape to the oval plaque to create a stand. Let dry.

Christmas Tree Topper

  1. Using stencil tape, divide your paper mache star into 5 even parts. See project photo for reference.
  2. Using a flat brush, paint each section of your star a different color form your selected rainbow palette. See photo for reference. Let dry.
  3. Using hot glue, attach a pom pom to each tip of the star.
