Brightly Striped Cookie Tin
Pack this bright and cheery holiday tin with cookie goodies or a special gift.

  • Round cookie tin – 7"
  • Craft tape – ¾"
  • Daubers
  • Round brush - #6
  • Acrylic Gem
  • Craft glue
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Wax Paper
  • Craft knife
  • Card stock
  • Brush basin or container for water
  • Paper towels
  • Foam plates

Instructions

1.Wash tin with mild soap and water. Wipe with rubbing alcohol to remove any residue.

2.Tape off stripes around base of tin. Use dauber to apply several coats of Real Red. Score along edges of tape before removing to prevent paint pull up.

3.Use round brush to paint garland around outer edge of tin lid in White. Let dry. Cover garland with wax paper then tape in place to protect during next step.

4. Tape off large triangular shape on tin lid. Use tape to create 2-3 random stripes on tree then apply Tropical Blue with dauber. Score and remove tape used for stripes. Continue creating and painting stripes of varying widths in desired paint colors using straight edges of cardstock. Final stripe should be large triangle of color a top of tree.  Score and remove tree tape. Let dry.

5. Tape off base of tree.  Apply Pumpkin Orange with dauber. Score and remove tape. 

6. Dip handle end of paintbrush in White then use to add dots on tree. Repeat technique with Bright Green to add dots to garland.

7. Glue gem to top of tree.

PROJECT TIP:  Personalize with a name or holiday sentiment using paint pen or permanent marker.
