Bulletin Board
This burlap covered bulletin board offers a fancy way to post important notes.

Instructions

  1. If necessary, remove glass and old picture from frame so you have an open frame.

  2. Paint frame color of your choice – we chose a Lime Green.  When dry you can sand and distress with 80 grit sandpaper, or if your frame has a lot of carved detail like this one did,  you can just glaze it to highlight the carving.

  3. Mix one part Extreme Glitter paint (we chose black) with four parts water and using a very dry brush apply a little at a time to the frame making sure you don’t drip or splatter.  Cut a piece of the insulation to the size of the frame(this is a wonderful trick and allows you to inexpensively make any size bulletin board without using cork). Using spray adhesive, apply the burlap and trim to size.

  4. Insert into frame and attach with wood screws around the back edge.  Attach D rings and hanging wire and enjoy!
