Instructions

  • Enjoy this learning process! Sit back, relax and take your time to practice every brushstroke.
  • The Reusable Teaching Guides are provided for you to learn color placement, brush pressure, and brushstroke size while practicing directly over Donna’s brushstrokes. After practicing, wipe away the wet paint, then try again. Never allow the paint to dry on the Reusable Teaching GuideComfort and confidence will come with practice.
  • Dampen the brush with water, blot excess water onto a paper towel before loading the brush with paint. Watch each monthly how-to video carefully to learn how to properly load the paintbrush for each stroke.
  • When strokes appear wider, apply more pressure to the surface. For narrow areas, less pressure is applied to the brush.
  • Thoroughly clean each brush after use, never allow paint to dry in the bristles. When painting with FolkArt Mulit-Surface Paints, experiment with a variety of painting surfaces, such as: wood, tin, terra cotta, canvas, fabric, papier mache, even glass and ceramics!
