Chalkboard Pitcher
Create a pitcher you can customize with FolkArt Chalkboard paint!

Other Things You'll Need

  • Ceramic pitcher
  • Stencil Brushes ¼", Flat Brushes 1", #6 Round Brush, #1 Liner Brush
  • Chalk
  • Cup
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Paper plates
  • Paper towels

Instructions

  1. Wipe pitcher with rubbing alcohol to remove any dirt or dust.
  2. Basecoat the pitcher with Rich Black. Let dry between coats.
  3. Apply several coats of chalkboard paint allowing to dry between coats. When totally cured, rub the surface lightly with the side of a piece of chalk to condition. Wipe lightly with paper towel.
  4. Using a cup or other round household item, trace a circle with chalk onto pitcher.
  5. Use the round brush to create flowers around the chalk circle. Start your stroke at the outer end of petal and pull towards center.
  6. Create smaller flowers in same manner around circle using liner brush and Sage.
  7. Create dots in center of flowers using opposite end of paintbrush dipped in paint as shown.
  8. Add accent elements with chalk.
