Cheese and Crackers Plate with a Rustic Charger
Decorative paper napkins are used to create designer tableware.

Other Things You'll Need

  • Glass plate
  • Decorative Napkin
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • Craft knife
  • Loose bristle paint brush
  • Woven placemat

Instructions

  1. Clean the bottom of the glass plate and allow to dry.
  2. Trim the decorative napkin to fit the back of the plate. Attach to the bottom of the glass plate with Mod Podge. Apply a coat of Mod Podge Gloss to the bottom of the plate, place the napkin print side down into the Mod Podge and top-coat with more Mod Podge. Smooth with your fingers. Allow to dry.
  3. Add a detail border of gold paint around the outer edge of the plate. Allow to dry. Use a craft knife to clean up the edges.
  4. Dry-brush paint a woven placemat. Dip the loose bristle paintbrush into the Baby Pink paint. Tap off the excess paint. Lightly paint the top of the placemat. Dip the brush with the pink paint still on it into a tiny amount of the Warm White paint. Very lightly paint over the placemat. Allow to dry.
