Clay Angel Centerpiece
Easy and fun use of clay pots makes a cute holiday centerpiece.

Other Things You'll Need

  • 2 Styrofoam cones – 2 7/8" x 5 7/8"
  • 1 Styrofoam ball
  • 2mm white foam sheet
  • 2 clay
  • 2 – ¾" wood doll heads
  • Gold tinsel chenille stem
  • E 6000 adhesive
  • Butter knife
  • Spoon
  • 1 ¼"
  • ¾" Foam Spouncers®
  • #1 Liner brush
  • ¼"
  • ½" Flat brushes
  • Ruler

Instructions

  1. Mix one part Mango to three parts White and paint Styrofoam ball. Also paint wood doll heads. Let dry.
  2. Paint large pot white and small pot red with gold rim.
  3. Add dots to large pot with Spouncers as shown. Paint in rough 4edges with liner brush.
  4. Add all details to pots with liner brush. Create all dots using opposite end of paintbrush dipped in paint.
  5. Cut tops of cones on an angle with butter knife. Scoop out cut end slightly with spoon. Press down with thumb to smooth.
  6. Measure 3 ¼” from small end of cone and cut off.
  7. Paint cones red, end Limeade and add white stripe.
  8. Glue doll heads to ends of cones.
  9. Paint face details and add cheeks using dry stencil brush.
  10. Glue pots together with E 6000. Glue arms and head to small pot.
  11. Cut wings from foam sheet, paint details in gold with liner brush and glue to back of angel.
  12. Fashion circle from chenille stem and glue to head.
  • PROJECT TIP: Place Styrofoam ball onto brush handle to hold while painting. Be sure hoe is at bottom when painting face.
