Cookie Oven Valentine Box

Other Things You'll Need

  • Shoe box
  • Plastic bottle caps
  • Wooden pencil
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue
  • Craft Knife

Instructions

 
  1. Using Black and White, mix a dark gray color and paint the inside of the lid of the box with this color.
  2. Paint the outside of the bottom part of the box using Key West.
  3. On the fron of the box, used the gray color you mixed and Laguna to paint a little oven door (see project image for reference).
  4. Use scissors to remove the twine hangers from 6 wood slices.
  5. Mix Red Apple and Pale Daffodil to make a pale cookie color. Paint all of the wood slices using this color.
  6. When dry, use Cameo Pink, Red Apple and Candy Pink to paint faux icing on top of the cookies. Add small colorful dashes on top to look like sprinkles. See project photo frp reference.
  7. Paint 4 bottle caps with Jet Black. Using a liner brush, paint a dash on each cap using Snow White. These will be the oven knobs.
  8. Use a caft knife to cut a pencil the same width as the oven door. Paint the pencil using Key West.
  9. Use hot glue to assemble the lid onto the box, the knobs onto the box, the "oven handle" onto the box and the "cookies" onto the lid.
  10. Cut out the "I'd Crunble without You" phrase and use Mod Podge Matte to apply is to the front of the box lid.
  11. Use a craft knife to make a slit on the oven door to insert Valentines.
