This decoupage napkin jewelry box will look lovely on your nightstand or as a gift to a close friend.
Instructions
- Tear your napkin into small pieces (about 1 or 2 inches squared). The exact shape or size does not matter- the shapes should be random and organic.
- Remove the extra plies from your napkin pieces and discard them.
- Clean the inside and outside of your glass box with soap and water to remove any oils from the surface. Let dry.
- Using a brush, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge Gloss to the inside of one of the glass panels of the box.
- Place torn napkin pieces onto the Mod Podged area one at a time. Use the brush (wet with Mod Podge) to smooth the pieces down. Continue to place pieces of napkin onto the area, overlapping them, until the portion of the box is covered. It is okay if the napkin pieces go over the edges, it will be trimmed later. Continue this for the inside of each of the glass panels of the box. Let dry.
- When the Mod Podge is very dry to the touch, use a sharp craft knife to trim around the edges of each glass panel to remove excess napkins.
