Craft a fun holiday sign using an old door to wish your family and friends a Merry Christmas. Use FolkArt Home Decor Chalk to make your home bright and cheerful all season long with this upcycled craft.
Instructions
- Basecoat the door piece with Imperial. Allow to dry.
- Using the pattern provided, transfer "Merry Christmas" to door. Resize if needed in order to fit door. Refer to photo for placement.
- Pour some Rich Black to a plate. Dip the flat side of layering block in to paint and then remove any excess onto a paper towel. Lightly glide the block along the door front and the edges of the door to achieve distressed look. Don't be too heavy handed. It only takes a little to get the effect.
- Cut ribbon and tie as shown in photo.
- Add greenery to the bow.
