Tie-Dye a simple lampshade for a little extra flair to your home decor. Use Fabric Creations and Mod Podge to transform your the style of your lamps in a flash. Great summertime project for a teen!
Instructions
- Measure the dimensions of your lampshade and cut your fabric accordingly.
- Iron your fabric then lay it on your flat workspace. Fold your fabric in an accordion style fold.
- Place about 3-4 evenly spaced rubber bands down your fabric.
- Mix a 1:3 ratio of Fabric Creations to water in your squeeze bottle and shake until well mixed.
- Squeeze your Black Fabric Creations in-between each rubber band and massage the paint into the fabric. Leave some white space around your rubber bands.
- Remove the rubber bands from your fabric and lay it flat to dry. Once your fabric is dry, heat set it with an iron or put it in the dryer with dry heat. After you heat set your fabric, wash it on a delicate setting.
- Apply Fabric Mod Podge on your fabric and wrap it around your lamp shade with the sticky side to the shade. Trim off the excess fabric.
