Other Things You'll Need

  • Mason jars
  • Thin dowels
  • Wooden heart shapes
  • Hot glue
  • Pencil

Instructions

  1. Place tape around the middle of the mason jar. Below the taped line, paint the mason jar with FolkArt Multi-surface Wicker White. Remove the tape and let dry.
  2. On another mason jar, apply a line of tape around the jar about 2” from the mouth. Apply FolkArt Multi-surface Magenta below the tape line. Remove the tape and let dry.
  3. Using a small round brush, paint small hearts in Magenta and Engine Red all over the Wicker White mason jar.
  4. With a pencil, lightly draw a heart on the front of the Magenta mason jar. Using a small flat brush, apply a thin coat of Gilding Adhesive inside of the heart shape. Let the adhesive dry until it is tacky. Then, apply a Gold Gilding Sheet to the adhesive. Use your fingers to gently press the sheet down so all of the adhesive is covered. Gently remove the sheet and dust away excess Gold with a clean brush.
  5. Paint the lids of the mason jars with Magenta and Engine Red and let dry. Apply Hot Pink Glitterific to the Magenta lid and Red Glitterific to the Engine Red lid. Let dry.
  6. Paint small wooden hearts with Magenta, Wicker White and Engine Red and let dry.
  7. On the Wicker White hearts, paint small messages of love using Engine Red.
  8. Apply Hot Pink Glitterific to the Magenta hearts and Red Glitterific to the Engine Red hearts. Let dry.
  9. Paint a few thin dowels with Wicker White and let dry.
  10. Using hot glue, adhere the hearts to the ends of the dowels and use them as decoration for the mason jars.
