  • For Blue Bird: Three 1" x 2" Hearts
  • Hen Egg
  • Two 1" x 1/8" Hearts
  • Three 3/4" x 1/8" Hearts
  • For Bumble Bee: Two 1-3/4" x 1/8" Hearts
  • 1-1/2" Doll Head
  • Two 1/2" Micro Apples
  • Hen Egg
  • 6" of 19 Gauge wire
  • For Frog: Hen Egg
  • 1" Round Head Plug
  • Two Split Pigeon Eggs
  • Two 1-1/8" x 1-3/8" Primitive Stars
  • Other Supplies: Extra Fine Black Marker
  • #2 Round Brush
  • #4 Flat Brush
  • Liner Brush

Instructions

Blue Bird
  1. Body: Basecoat Blue Jay. Let dry.
     
  2. Paint belly White and shade edges with Lisa Pink. Let dry.
     
  3. Outline belly with stitchlines and add eyes using black pen.
     
  4. Feet & Beak: Basecoat three 3/4" hearts Antique Gold. Let dry.
     
  5. Shade edges with Burnt Sienna.
     
  6. Paint Burnt Sienna comma strokes on nose for nostrils.
     
  7. Outline edges with stitchlines and add toenails using black pen.
     
  8. Wings & Tail: Basecoat 3 primitive hearts and 1" hearts Blueberry.
     
  9. Create wing feather outlines using White highlights.
     
  10. Highlight tip of tail using White and Lisa Pink.
     
  11. Outline wings with stitchlines using black pen. When dry, glue all three primitive hearts together creating tail.
     
  12. Assembly: Glue pieces onto surface referring to photo for placement. Let dry.
Bumble Bee
  1. Body: Basecoat Yellow. Let dry.
     
  2. Paint Black stripes. Let dry.
     
  3. Outline yellow stripes with stitchlines using black pen.
     
  4. Wings: Basecoat White. Let dry.
     
  5. Shade with Quaker Grey.
     
  6. Head: Add White dots for eyes. Let dry.
     
  7. Add Black dot to each eye.
     
  8. Outline wings with stitchlines using black pen.
     
  9. Antenna: Basecoat doll head and micro apples Black. Let dry.
     
  10. Bend wire around black pen creating spiral. Gently bend into a ‘U'.
     
  11. Glue micro apples onto ends of wire.
     
  12. Glue bottom of ‘U' onto back of head.
     
  13. Assembly: Glue pieces onto surface referring to photo for placement. Let dry.
Freddie Frog
  1. Basecoat all wood parts Leaf Green. Let dry.
     
  2. Feet: Shade edges of primitive stars with Hunter Green.
     
  3. Legs: Paint spots of Green Tea onto split pigeon eggs and shade with Hunter Green.
     
  4. Body: Paint tummy Green Tea.
     
  5. Shade tummy Hunter Green. Let dry.
     
  6. Outline tummy with stitchlines and add mouth using black pen.
     
  7. Paint tongue Napthol Red Light.
     
  8. Paint eyes White and shade with Leaf Green. Let dry.
     
  9. Paint pupils Black. Let dry.
     
  10. Add White highlight to each eye.
     
  11. Assembly: Glue pieces onto surface referring to photo for placement. Let dry.
