Instructions
- Create a partial circle by tracing something round directly onto your plant poke. (see project photo - the circle creates the seed area of your sunflower)
- Triple load your brush with Outrageous Orange, Golden Yellow and Sunbeam. To triple load you will dip the tip into your first color and then dip each side into your other two colors. Pull your brush down on your pallett to blend before painting on your surface.
- Create your petals by pulling your brush towards your seed center. Reload your brush as needed. Created on one layer of petals for now. Allow to dry.
- Triple load your brush with Golden Yellow, Sunbeam and White. Repeat your petal brush stroked but this time you will create an inner layer that is shorter than your first layer. Reload your brush as needed. Allow to dry.
- To create your third and final petal layer you will double load your brush with Sunbeam and White. Repeat your petal brush stroke to create an innermost layer that is shorter than your first two petal layers. Reload your brush as needed. Allow to dry.
- To create your seed area you will want to use your scruffy brush and a rough mix of brown, black and Golden Yellow. Load your brush by stippling the brush into your paint and then offloading some of the paint onto a paper towel or your palette. Your brush is then ready to stipple into the seed center. Allow to dry and repeat.
- Using your white paint marker or white paint, letter in the names in the lower right hand corner.
- Allow to dry and use as place settings!
