Glow-in-the-Dark Decor Collection
Create a plethora of glowing items to decorate for your Halloween party or haunted house when your add a layer of FolkArt Glow-in-the-Dark to your creations!

Other Things You'll Need

  • 2 wood spiders
  • 3 Wood bats
  • Palette Sign
  • Wood Word
  • Old frame cut ½ creating 2 corners as shown
  • White yarn
  • Black permanent marker
  • Wax paper
  • Hot Glue
  • 5 assorted glass jars
  • Stencil tape
  • 5 assorted wood Stars

Instructions

Spiders, Bats, and BOO Sign
  1. Paint frame corners black, let dry.
  2. Cut yarn into sections and secure to back of frame as shown with hot glue to create web sections.  Knot together horizontal sections and secure to back of frame with hot glue.
  3.  Place webs onto wax paper and paint yarn with Neutral Glow.  Apply several coats to get a strong glow color.
  4. Basecoat bats and spiders with black and let dry.
  5. Paint bats with Purple Neon and spiders with Glow Green.  Let dry between coats.
  6. Accent shapes with permanent marker as shown.
  7. Paint wood sign with several coats of Glow Yellow, letting paint dry between coats.
  8. Paint wood word with Pumpkin and let dry.  Outline letters as shown with Glow Orange and let dry.  Glue word to sign as shown.
Jars
  1. Wash and dry jars.
  2. Large Pink and Neutral Glow Jars- paint brushstrokes and patterns onto jar as shown with Licorice and let dry. 
  3. Squeeze paint into jars and move around completely coating the inside of each jar.  Allow paint to dry completely inside jar.
  4. Splatter Jar- Splatter onto jar with Glow Pink and Glow Purple.  Let dry.
  5. Color Blocked and Stripes- Paint jars as shown in photo.  Paint several coats allowing paint to dry between coats.
Stars
  1. Basecoat stars with Licorice and let dry .
  2. Tape off 2 large stars as shown and paint with Glow Yellow.  Paint several coats letting dry between coats.
  3. Using the end of brush handle, dip into paint and create dot pattern around stars as shown.  Let dry.
  4. Paint all small stars desired colors.  Apply several coats letting dry between coats.
