Paint the wood plaque Fresh Foliage. Two coats are best for full coverage. Add Parchment paint to the brush and tap off the excess. The brush should be almost dry. Lightly, paint over the wood plaque in a dry-brush fashion. This will distress the plaque and add highlights.
Paint the letters Fire Engine Red. Once dry, trace the letters onto the scrapbook paper. Cut-out the letters. Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to the top of the wood letter and to the back of the cut paper. Position the paper on the wood letter. Smooth with your fingers to remove any air-bubbles. Dry for 2 hours. Do this for each letter.
Once dry, Use the sanding sponge to distress the edges.
Use the Melter to glue the letters to the plaque.
PROJECT TIP: Add a crackle finish to the plaque by painting a layer of Crackle before dry-brushing the parchment paint.
