Homemade Quinceanera Crown

Other Things You'll Need

  • Mod Podge Mod Melts, White #24887
  • Mod Podge Silicone Craft Mat, Clear #16289
  • Hot glue gun
  • Two 18" strips of 16 gauge green straight floral wire
  • Tiny (1/8") clear, purple and blue gems
  • 7/16" clear gems
  • Fine silver glitter
  • Craft glue
  • Transfer paper
  • Pencil
  • Tweezers
  • Toothpicks
  • Paper
  • Wire cutters
  • ½" flat brush

Instructions

  1. Transfer crown pattern to paper and slide under craft mat.
  2. Trace the bottom line with Mod Melter and quickly place the 18” long wire into Mod Melt. Allow to dry.
  3. Cut a 3 ½” piece of wire from the other piece of wire.
  4. Apply a line of Mod Melt down the center 3 ½” from the bottom with Mod Melter and place the 3 ½” wire into Mod Melt. Allow to dry. Go over the wire on top making sure the wire is completely covered. You should have an upside down “T”. Go back in and trace the rest of the pattern.
  5. Paint the crown with Silver Sterling. Allow to dry.
  6. Brush the Sparkle Mod Podge on crown and sprinkle silver glitter all over until completely covered. Allow to dry. Brush off excess glitter.
  7. Use a toothpick to spread the craft glue in the center and add all the small gems as shown in pattern. Add larger gems along the bottom.
