Instructions
- Create a dull putty colored paint mix for the background. Begin by mixing Wicker White with a touch of Real Brown and then add a touch of Classic Green. NOTE: You will use more Wicker White than the other two colors. Paint the canvas background using this color mix using a 3/4" Flat brush. Allow to dry.
- Pencil in the shape of a rectangle to create the jar. Be sure to round the corners of the rectangle to soften the shape. Using a No. 12 Flat brush, paint the jar with a mix of Wicker White plus Bright Pink. Shade the jar shape with Real Brown and highlight using Wicker White. Using a No. 2 Script Liner brush, paint a few layers of Wicker White ribbon around the neck of the jar. Add a painted ribbon bow of Wicker White.
- All foliage is painted using the No. 12 Flat brush using the chisel edge pulling each stroke towards you with light pressure. All the foliage is painted using paint mixes of Classic Green plus Real Brown and lighter values of the same green mix by adding Wicker White. Add a few springs of Wicker White foliage as accents.
- Flowers – Pink flowers are sparsely added within the foliage. Use the same pink mix as used to paint the jar.
- Lastly, add a dull green table line so the jar of greenery is not “floating.” To create the dull green color, mix Wicker White plus Class Green and then add Real Brown to dull the green color.
- Sign your work and enjoy!
