Instructions
- Glue the three candle cups together using the wood glue. Glue the canvas panel to one end of the candle cups and the other end to the bottom of the birdhouse. Allow the glue to dry.
- Basecoat the roof and base of birdhouse with Patina. Paint the house with Citrus Green. Mix a small amount of Patina with Wicker White to make a lighter shade of Patina. Paint the bottom candle cup. Add a little more Wicker White and paint the next candle cup. Add a little more Wicker White and paint the last candle cup.
- Paint the base of the stand with Patina. Paint the perch Thunder Blue.
- Punch different shades of greens and blues from the paint chips with the 1” hole punch. Start gluing them onto the roof with the darker shades at the bottom of roof to lighter at the peek. Overlap as you go up the roof.
- On the bird, cut out 1” circles in different shades of yellow. Start gluing the circles to the chipboard bird starting at the bottom in the darker shade of yellow to the top of bird using the lighter shade of yellow. Once they have dried, cut off the circles that are hanging over the sides of the bird. Punch out a dark blue ¼” circle and glue for an eye.
- Punch the large lace out of blue paint chip strip and decoupage to the bottom of the birdhouse. Punch the smaller lace from the green paint chip strip and glue to front of the roof.
- Punch the large lace from the blue again. Miter the corners so that they meet. Frame in the bottom of the candle cups. Decoupage and then paint the inside with Citrus Green.
- Add Sparkle Mod Podge to the roof, the bird and the base of stand.
- Glue the block to the bottom right hand of birdhouse and then glue the bird to the block so the bird pops off the birdhouse.
