Other Supplies
- Dried Flowers
- Paper towels
- Protective gloves (optional)
- A covered workspace (to protect from spills)
- Sandpaper
Instructions:
1. Ensure your wood frame is clean and dry.
2. Apply a coat of pink paint and let it dry completely.
3. Use sandpaper to lightly distress the frame, pay attention to areas that would receive the most wear.
4. Lay out your dried flowers on the frame to plan your design. This will help you visualize the final look and make adjustments before gluing anything down.
5. Using a brush, apply a thin, even layer of Mod Podge to the area where you want to place the dried flowers.
6. Carefully place the dried flowers onto the wet Mod Podge. Press gently to ensure they adhere well.
7. Once the flowers are in place, apply another thin layer of Mod Podge over the top of the flowers. This will help seal them and protect them from damage. Be gentle to avoid damaging the delicate petals and leaves.
8. Use a Mod Podge squeegee or a soft brush to smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles. Work from the center of the flower outward to ensure a smooth finish.
9. Allow the Mod Podge to dry for about 20 minutes. If needed, trim any overhanging flower edges with scissors.
10.For added protection, apply one or two more coats of Mod Podge over the entire frame, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next.
11. Once everything is dry, your decoupaged frame is ready to display!
