Navy and Coral Marbled Coasters
Add some flair to your table with these beautiful hexagon star resin coasters. Use Mod Podge Resin and FolkArt Acrylic Paint to make elegant marbled coasters for your next dinner party.

Instructions

  1. Basecoat the coasters with Wicker White. Let dry.
  2. On palette paper, mix Wicker White with Pure Black in various ratios so you have several different shades of gray.
  3. Using a liner brush, paint lines like veins to resemble marble on all of the coasters. Using the same brush, as accents of Treasure Gold.
  4. Tape off the edges of the recessed areas of the coasters.
  5. Protect your workspace and put on the proper PPE according to the information on plaidonline.com/ModPodgeResin.
  6. Mix your resin according to the instructions on plaidonline.com/ModPodgeResin.
  7. Separate the resin into 2 different cups. Add a drop of Fire Coral to the first cup and a drop of Navy Blue to the second. Using a craft stick, combine the paint thoroughly into each cup. Use a torch to remove any bubbles.
  8. Pour the Fire Coral resin into the recesses of 2 coasters and the Navy Blue resin into the recesses of the other two coasters. Use a torch to remove any bubbles.
  9. Allow the resin to cure for at least 24 hours and remove the tape.
  10. Mix more resin according to the instructions on plaidonline.com/ModPodgeResin.
  11. Set the coasters on a raised surface (such as an upside down disposable cup) and pour an even coat of resin over the coasters. Use a torch to remove any air bubbles and allow it to cure for 24 hours.
