Create a faux mosaic look with cut pieces of watercolor papers and Mod Podge. Make your summer patio decor bright and colorful with this easy paper craft.
Paint the clay pot with White Adirondack. This will just prime the pot so the terracotta color will not show through. Use two coats. Paint the rim with two coats of Inca Gold.
Cut the papers into small shapes. Each one should be slightly different in shape and size.
Starting at the top, apply papers to the pot. Apply Mod Podge to the back of the paper and onto the clay pot. Position the paper onto the pot and press with your finger to remove any air-bubbles. Continue adding more papers until the entire pot is covered.
Top-coat with two layers of Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge. Allow for dry time in between coats. Cure as directed on the bottle instructions.
PROJECT TIP: Make a “Broken China” looking pot by color copying old China dishes and cutting them into small pieces.
