Other Things You'll Need

  • Natural Brown and white Gift Wrap/ Craft Paper * not shiny or sealed
  • Fine Black Marker or Sharpie
  • Blow dryer
  • Water basin
  • Paper towels and paper plate

     

Instructions

 Holly Berry Design
  1. Cut brown paper to desired size. 
  2. In small glass bowls,  mix 2 parts water with 1 part FolkArt Acrylic Paint , for all the colors you will need to paint the Holly Design.   Thicket, Aqua, Red, Dutch Aqua, White, Classic Green.
  3. With WATER ONLY, and large brush, paint 2-3 holly berry designs as shown. 
  4. * Tip- do not create a perfect pattern, a very loose, abstract application of water is best.
  5. Using smaller brush, float the colors shown in photo onto each “wet” painted basecoat.
  6. Repeat above steps to complete pattern.
  7. Let paper dry completely and then using a Sharpie Marker, doodle or outline the designs as shown.
 Pinecone Design
  1. Cut white pater to desired size.
  2. In small glass bowls,  mix 2 parts water with 1 part FolkArt Acrylic Paint , for all the colors you will need to paint the Pinecone Design.   Thicket,  Classic Green, Coffee Bean, Coffee Latte, Licorice
  3. With WATER ONLY, and medium brush, paint 2-3 pinecone designs as shown. 
  4. * Tip- do not create a perfect pattern, a very loose, abstract application of water is best.
  5. Using smaller brush, float the colors shown in photo onto each “wet” painted basecoat.
  6. Repeat above steps to complete pattern.
  7. Let paper dry completely and then using a Sharpie Marker, doodle or outline the designs as shown.
  8. Splatter with Licorice. Let dry.
