Other Things You'll Need

  • Scissors
  • Wax Paper
  • Old Cotton Shirts to upscale into placemat
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Waverly Inspirations Fabric of choice

Instructions

  1.  Cut back of each shirt into 2 pieces of fabric- each piece 12 x 18.
  2. Place one piece onto wax paper and brush on even coat of Mod Podge.
  3. While WET, place second piece of 12x18 fabric onto Mod Podge and press down making sure 2 pieces are smooth.  Let dry.
  4. Cut Waverly Pattern fabric into 18 x 5 piece.
  5. Place on wax paper and apply Mod Podge to the sides and bottom only- about a ½” line of Mod Podge around the sides and bottom.
  6. While still wet-place the fabric onto the bottom of placemat as shown and press down edges.  Let dry.
  7. Cut out the pocket from the shirt- fill with wax paper and apply Mod Podge to the back of the pocket.  Press onto placemat as shown.  Let dry.
  8. Insert place setting, plate, napkin and enjoy!
